Users felt frustrated when they filled in their personal data.
Product and customization
Users wanted a registration process that would quickly get them to their favorite games.
New Flow
The revised information architecture not only eliminates unnecessary data but also maintains transparency in the sign-up process. It poses questions that enable a higher degree of personalization for the home, going beyond what is typically deemed necessary in this context.
The interaction design process
Emphasize the world 'games' to start the flow
Determine the text expected by the user
Incorporate key messages during the customization process
Remove verification reminder and add shortcut below avatar
final sign up flow
(Oct, 2023, myself - A review)
I'm pleased with how engaging the onboarding process is for users who want to jump right into playing. However, I believe that there were other user journeys that were designed but weren't showcased in the video presentation. I should have asked for assistance from a skilled UX writer to ensure a more comprehensive presentation, and I would also revisit the timing aspect. After a year I can see mistakes and opportunities that I wouldn't overlook today.
